i understand that not all doors open into something that you can enter. i appreciate building a door anyway and creating new spaces. for example utilizing that ubiquitous space under the staircase. if staircases are like spinal columns then i like to think of that space underneath as the space where a staircase lets its belly hang out. bonus points when you write a word of caution about the (lack of) ceiling through the door into the belly of the staircase.
