Headline: $15.5 million dollar settlement has been reached to compensate a New Mexico man for his treatment behind bars. by- adventureclubviral
on the channel 6 news- stephen slevin was arrested for drunk driving but never convicted in 2005. he was placed in solitary confinement and basically ignored for two years. above are his before and after pictures. so the channel 6 news asks- what do you think?
i think that imprisonment of the innocent is the ultimate tragedy in a society for the people by the people. it is the ultimate opposition to everything the justice system is based upon. time and money are of different currencies. there is no such thing as being repaid or rewarded fairly for such mistakes. no lessons learned. this epitomizes a total failure of the system.
